Ottocast products work for most cars with factory head units that have wired Apple Carplay or Android Auto. These cars range from 2016 to current models. Our products do not work for cars that do not have a touch screen.

Yes. Ottocast products work on Mitsubishi cars, but many of them need a "Y Cable" and 2.4 amp cigarette lighter charger.

These are used to supplement the power to the unit, as the USB A ports on some Mitsubishi head units do not provide enough power for the Ottocast to stay connected. We have found this to be a mixed bag, as to which makes and models actually need this supplement.

One end will plug into the car USB port, the other into your cigarette lighter charger, and the last end into the Ottocast.

So far these have been tested on some models of head units that have Apple CarPlay including brands; JBL, Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, Clarion. They do not work on Sony head units.

No. While some of our products convert wired Apple CarPlay into wireless Android Auto, none of them will convert Wired Android Auto into Wireless Apple CarPlay.

The average connection time for the adapter will vary depending on your phone and car, but it typically takes between 7-14 seconds to establish a connection.

The adapter is equipped with both WiFi and Bluetooth hardware. It will connect to your phone via Bluetooth and send through the WiFi credentials. Then the adapter will disconnect from the Bluetooth network and operate solely over WiFi from that point onwards.

If our team can't resolve the issue with your Ottocast unit, you can access your 1-year manufacture warranty and return the product. The units are assessed once collected from the PO Box before issuing your refund. Please ensure you send back all packaging and parts undamaged with the unit.
